Overview
This page describes FCBC Walnut’s SMS/text messaging terms for messages sent by FCBC Walnut staff using Microsoft Teams SMS. This SMS service is intended for 1-to-1, conversational communications (for example, coordination with vendors/contractors and other work-related conversations). It is not used for marketing, bulk messaging, or automated alert broadcasts.
What Messages We Send
FCBC Walnut staff may use SMS for one-to-one business communication, such as:
Scheduling and coordination (for example: arrival times, access, brief updates)
Follow-ups related to ongoing work or services
Clarifying job details, invoices, and logistics
We do not use Teams SMS for promotional marketing, mass texting, or automated messaging.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on operational needs and the nature of the conversation.
Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan and carrier.
Opting In (Consent)
How you opt in
You opt in by providing your mobile phone number directly to FCBC Walnut staff and consenting to receive SMS messages for business-related communication.
Notes:
SMS consent is not required to receive services or participate in activities.
We send messages only to individuals with an existing relationship (such as vendors/contractors) and for purposes related to that relationship.
Opting Out
You may unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any message.
After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from that sending number unless you choose to re-subscribe (for example, by replying START).
Privacy and Data Use
We use your mobile number only to send the one-to-one messages described above, and maintain opt-in/opt-out status.
Privacy Policy: https://english.fcbcwalnut.org/privacy-policy
Mobile opt-in data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Appropriate Use
This SMS service is intended for lawful, appropriate, and respectful communication.
