Wilson Tsoi
Cantonese Pastor
Rev. Wilson Tsoi was born in Hong Kong. He was baptized at Christian Saints’ Assembly on April 1977. After he graduated from Hong Kong Overseas Bible Seminary in June 1984, he married his wife Yolina in August 1984. They have a daughter Christine, (who married to Pastor Steve Loo and gave birth to Caleb, Joanna, Ezra, and Ian) and a son Felix.
After the ordination in January 1986, Wilson and Yolina left for Suriname, South America, to serve as missionaries of the Chinese Mission of Moravian Church. He also served as the pastor of Tshoeng Tjien Kerk, the local Chinese church in Suriname.
In January 1995, Wilson and his family went to New York and served as Program Director of New York Christian Short-Term Mission Training Center. While serving full-time, Wilson started his part-time study at Alliance Theological Seminary, NYACK, New York, and received his M. Div. degree in 2002.
In September 2001, Wilson and his family relocated to Southern California and started serving at Irvine Chinese Bible Church.
In July 2003, God led Wilson and his family to FCBC Walnut. He serves as pastor overseeing the Cantonese congregation and Missions department.
Wilson graduated from his study of Doctor of Ministry at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2012. The title of the Final Project is “Leading a Core Group to Develop a Long-Range Plan for First Chinese Baptist Church, Walnut, to Incorporate Families with Autistic Member(s) into Normal Church Life.”
