Caleb Li

Mandarin Minister

Caleb was born in Hebei Province, China. In 2007, before graduating from university, he sensed God’s call to ministry. He went to Malang, Indonesia in 2008 to study at Southeast Asia Bible Seminary, where he earned both a Bachelor of Theology degree and a Master of Theology. By God’s grace, in 2012 the Lord led Caleb and his wife back to his alma mater to serve and pursue advanced studies, where he remained in theological education until 2020.

After returning to China, Caleb served as a full-time minister at a house church in Guangzhou from 2021 to 2023. In July 2023, he and his family moved to Los Angeles for further study at Logos Evangelical Seminary and, the following month, began attending First Chinese Baptist Church of Walnut. During this time, he has been serving in the Mandarin congregation in seeker classes and adult Sunday School. In September 2025, he was officially appointed as a minister of the Mandarin congregation.

Caleb and his wife, Rita, have three children. He enjoys traveling with his family and reading, especially books on theology and Christian spirituality. In his free time he also enjoys drinking coffee, cooking, and watching sports.
